Manali, Jispa and Kargil Tour Itinerary
On arrival at Manali Railway station /Bus stand our representative will pick you up and drive towards Manali via Kullu valley. Overnight stay at Manali.
Depart Manali early in the morning our first halt is Marhia barren landscape offering extensive views of the valley and the mountains. We proceed to Rohtang Pass 3790 M is most popular with visitors, being one of the highest road point and gateway to LAHAUL and SPITI valleys. Further drive to Darcha is situated at the junction of YatcheNullah and the Zangskarchu which takes off from the shinkun la. Both these nullahs with the main river Bhaga at this palace continue to sarchu and check into your camp. Overnight in Camp.
Depart manli early in the morm=ning through Rohtang Pass (13050 ft), we proceed to Rohtang Pass 3790 M is most popular with visitors, being one of the highest road point and gateway to LAHAUL and SPITI valleys. Pass remains closed during winter due to heavy snow from November end to May end. Visitors can drive upto MARHI below ROHTANG with similar high altitude topography, forest of Birch after lunch drive to sarchu through Baralacha Pass (16020 Ft). Overnight stay at camp.
After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh; Hemis is largest and the wealthiest monastery, in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are drive back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue
of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that
we continue to drive through series of Buddhist stupa (chortens) to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the king of Ladakh. Visit 3 idiots school campus. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After early breakfast drive to Nubra valley via Khardongla Pass (18,380ft) the world’s highest motorable road and gateway to Siachen Glacier, the views from the top of the pass are amazing. Visit Deskit Monastery (118kms) founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in 1420 A.D. Check in at camp or hotel and in the evening visit Hunder sand dune for camel riding,
Cultural show and other activities. Dinner and overnight at Hotel/Camp in Nubra.
After breakfast, we drive towards Pangong Lake via Shyok and TangTse and Spangmik (Pangong). It’s a short cut and it’s a beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok River, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. It took us less than an hour to reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of the rather big village
surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. In the evening visit at shooting point near the Lake. Overnight stay at camp.
After breakfast drive back to Leh enroute visit Thiksay Monastery and Rancho School. In the evening free to explore the local markets of Leh. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh.
Drive to chilling, along the River Zanskar, where we begin our 14km river rafting adventure! This route has rapids of up to 3+ Grade. Enjoy the majestic views of the mountains around, along with thrill of navigating past the rapids in the chilling waters of the Zanskar! Reach kargil and get some rest!
Leave early in the morning, stopping for tea at Drass, the second coldest place in the world. As we cross over the amazing Zoji La, we enter the heavenly valley of Sonmarg. The spectacular views of the valley will definitely leave you spellbound! Continue the drive to Srinagar. Overnight stay in hotel.
Time to fly back home from Srinagar! Trip concludes with happy memories!
